In the quiet times
Lord I hear you best
unfortunately they're
few and short.
I wont God, only to
see you more.
But I understand It's
up to me, I must make
time for us.
In my crazy non-stop
world. I want to get
away to a quiet place
and spend some time
with you.
To revive my love and
faith, and start again
anew. With this world
fighting and tempting me
at every turn I find I'm
too weak.
I must remember that I
could never hope to
prevail against the wiles
of the devil by myself.
It's you Lord, it's you
who gives me strength and
refuge. I can win battles
only with you, and if I'm
not to fight. I can
always run to the safe
haven of your loving
arms, protective and
secure. I feel with
every step I take with
you satin is right there
to trip me up. And those
times that I fall on my
face the devil throws
guilt, shame and
condemnation. The things
that make me want to
hide my face from you.
But you Love me no less
when I fail. Jesus'
death on the cross was
for my sins as well and
His resurrection was and
is for my life eternal
with you. I will
always love and hope in
you Lord. My Lord our
God awesome and Mighty!
It speaks for itself

A beautiful poem and prayer, Lewis. It is humbly and gracefully written. It touched my heart, as one who also needs that time of rest and renewal in our Lord.
